Orthodox Church "Sveti Nikolla", built in the University of Prishtina campus before the war, has not applied for legalization at Prishtina Municipality.
The non-application was confirmed by Prishtina Municipality officials. Miranda Mullafazliu-Bejta, spokesperson of the Municipality, said that all buildings without permits are registered as such and are listed "for demolition". However, she did not specify if that rule would apply to the church.
"So far, we haven't received the application for legalization of this building. All buildings that are not registered for legalization, will not be qualified to be handled any further, according to the law.
The law on treatment of constructions without permits specifies that all buildings that are not registered at the State Register of Un-permitted Constructions will be subject to demolition.
